Intervention Process

Intervention Process

An intervention is a carefully planned and structured process in which family members and friends participate by lovingly, yet firmly confronting the addict with his or her chemical dependency and the necessity to begin the process of healing through treatment.

The most important element is respect for the individual. Families dealing with the effects of drug abuse or addiction are in crisis – our objective is to help them navigate through each step with respect and to focus on the needs of each family member. Chemical dependency is a family problem, and it requires a family process to move forward.

The effects of alcoholism and drug addiction are profound. Professional counseling is necessary to ensure the best possible outcome.

Surrender Intervention Services’ Dirk Eldredge and BJ Hickman are gifted in connecting with people “where they are” and moving them forward. Knowing the power of a well–organized group is always more effective in creating healthy changes than any individual’s influence; Dirk and BJ guide families through the process to bring their loved one to the appropriate treatment option where they can reshape their lifestyle habits.
